Aubrey's first hot lunch

I know that I'm goofy, but I hate missing Aubrey's "firsts". So I decided to go in and take some pictures of my big girl!! She did a great job picking out her lunch.

How big is Lauren??

I wasn't feeling very good so I was laying down on the couch. Lauren seemed to be really quiet so I finally got up to find her pouring her own milk for her cereal. Before I got upset, I had a take a picture first.

Camping...

We had a great time going camping through out the summer. The first two pictures are from Gray Eagle and the second two are from Stampede.

Our new little cousin!!

Lauren loves her new baby cousin, Colton. She loves to hold him and just look at him. I think that is so cute!! By the way, Lauren loves wearing bandaids!!!

Surprise!!

A couple of weeks ago we found out that we are pregnant!! My symptoms came on really fast this time. Aubrey told me the other day that we are having a boy. I asked her why she says that and she said that Heavenly Father knows what we need. i told her that it could easliy be a girl but her mind was made up. I thought that was really cute!!

Jump Man Jump

Chad has been gone for a while so us girls have been doing little things to stay busy and have fun. I wasn't feeling too good one morning and Aubrey asked if we could go to Jump Man Jump. I thought that would be a great idea so they could go have some fun and I could just take it easy. Aubrey has been there before but it was Lauren's first time and she loved it!! I think that her favorite thing was the pool of balls! After a while she decided to go play with Aubrey. Aubrey is such a great sister, she makes sure that Lauren is having a good time.

Happy Family Reunion!!

It is so fun to get the family together. Don and his family weren't able to come so we missed them. It was so fun to see the grandkids play together. We started are reunion at Idlewild park so some of us could go tubin'. The rest of us stayed at the park and played around. It was a lot of fun!

We decided to go float the Truckee River. It was a cooler day so the water was cold. Besides the one "flip over" they had a great time!!

Fourth of July Night

We went to a baseball field to watch the fireworks. It was a good place to let the kids run around.

Saturday Activities

On Saturday, we went to Mom and Dad's house for breakfast and play games at their park. We had a great time playing different games and just being together. Later that day, we all met up at our house for dutch oven dinner and dessert which were awesome!!! Before it got too late we started playing with the water balloons. I think with every water balloon game it starts out right but then it ends up everyone just throwing the balloons at each other. We had a great time!!

Aubrey's Swimming Lessons

Aubrey did great with her swimming lessons this year. She passed all of the qualificaitons for her level two class. Her instructor said that she might be ready for level three but because of her age and her being so little, she might want to do level two one more time. Anyway, we are so proud of her, she's doing a great job!!

Aubrey loves the diving board!! She can do front and back flips, and beautiful dives. She class wanted her to do a back flip but she wasn't feeling like it. If she had it her way, she would swim everyday!! I love seeing her developing her talents. She's awesome!

Our First Camping Trip of the Season

We had a short weekend that we could go camping so we took the opportunity. We went to Davis Creek that was close by. As we were settling into our camp site, we were told by others that there was a bear in our site just the other night. So we were a little nervous about any uninvited visitors that night. It didn't bother the kids they had a great time!!

Tour De Nez

At the Grande Sierra Hotel, they were having a bike race for young and old. We told Aubrey about it and she really wanted to race. We knew she would do good, she loves to race in anything. She got dressed and ready to go. When we arrived, there were boothes to decorate your bike and face painting. Of course, Aubrey wanted to have a dolphin on her cheek but the "artist" couldn't do it and talked her into a flower. It turned out cute. After a little while of waiting it was Aubrey's groups turn to race. She was so excited but got stuck behind some kids with training wheels. The race went great! She came in around 5th place out of 50+ kids so she did awesome. She was upset though because she wasn't first! She finally decided to forget about it and enjoy the rest of her night. Later we went to Johnny Rocket's for dinner and enjoyed hanging out with our friends the Hodes. As we were leaving, Aubrey wanted to take her picture with Lauren. She started posing and later she said that she was posing like "Top Model". Is that bad that she knows and loves that show??! Anyway, we had a great time!

Aubrey's First Performance

Mom told us that her choir was getting a youth choir together to sing with them in their performance. Aubrey was really excited and wanted to join the choir. She did a great job learning the songs and wasn't afraid to be in front of everyone. When we were on the side stage, waiting to come on, she told me that she had to go the restroom. I told her that she needed to hold it and wait until she was done singing her two songs. After thinking about it, she said no!! So we ran down to the basement of the theater, did her thing, then ran back just in time for her to enter the stage! Crazy, crazy!! Anyway, she did great, we are so proud of her!!

UH-OH

The other day, I found Lauren playing in the tub. Normally that is fine, but this time she had the water on. I couldn't get upset with her, it was so cute!!

I have no clue how to do this. We'll see how this turns out.

Chad and I took an early anniversary trip to Las Vegas without the kids. Chad and I had the chance to walk up and down the Strip and see all the fun stuff. We walk so much that I got blisters on my feet, but that's a different story.
